National Volunteers’ Week – Day 6

National Volunteers’ Week.  Day 6 Sight Concern Patron Rebecca Redfern

“As a GB Para-swimmer on the world stage, I feel lucky to be able to use that as a platform to raise awareness for the help that an organization like Sight Concern can offer people and being their patron is very special to me. It is a privilege to work alongside so many people who are helping those who need guidance and support in the visually impaired community.

I am keen to promote their fundraising and recently visited a local school who were raising money for Sight Concern with a Flourishing Fivers campaign, and I enjoyed hearing about their efforts. Helping others is so important and rewarding and without all the support from the many volunteers who give their time so generously, things would be very different. I am so proud to be the patron of this wonderful charity.”
