It’s that time of year again – Volunteers Week 2019 has arrived, #VolunteersWeek is officially trending around the world and social media is lighting up with stories and gratitude for all the incredible people out there who give their time for good causes!
We at Sight Concern Worcestershire wouldn’t be the charity we are today without our dedicated team of around 200 volunteers. We evolved from being entirely volunteer-run – and to this day, every one of our supporters helps us to ensure that we are able to provide advice and support to as many people living with sight loss in our county as we can.
So this week we would like to say an extra special thank you to you all – from the fundraisers to the tea makers, the speakers to the organisers, whether you are hard at work behind the scenes or out and about in our communities, reading the news or offering a helping arm. Some of you have been with us for over 20 years and others are just beginning their volunteering journey.
You are ALL a part of making people ‘feel connected to the world again’. So thank you SCW Volunteers!
