Talking Newspapers were set up in the 1970’s to provide a summary of the news in an audio format. Sight Concern Worcestershire operates The Malvern Talking News and is run by our amazing volunteers.

Use the web player

Possibly the easiest way to enjoy the Malvern Talking News is to listen online on your laptop, desktop, tablet or smartphone. A n easy to use web player will allow you to start and stop the recordings, as well as jump between different tracks.

The audio recordings are only to be accessed by people who have a disability that means they require access to the news in this format. 

Listen with Alexa

Simply say “Alexa, Enable Talking Newspapers”. Once enabled simply say “Alexa, Open Malvern Talking Newspaper” to listen to the latest edition. If this does not work you may need to go into the Alexa App and enable the skill “Talking Newspapers”. A voluntary organisation which provides the news for blind and partially sighted people in Redditch and Bromsgrove has celebrated four decades since it began.
