Fundraising

Sight Concern Worcestershire is an independent county-wide charity and therefore relies on local fundraising in order to continue to provide its services.

We organise fundraising events throughout year, details of which can be found in the Forthcoming Events section of this website or in ‘Sight Lines’, our regular newsletter.

We also rely on the generosity of people like yourselves to help us with fundraising. If you fancy nominating us as your chosen charity for a sponsored run, throw yourself our of a plane or maybe organise something a bit less active, we would love to hear from you.

Could you organise an event for us?

How do you fancy organising an event to raise money for Sight Concern? We can provide you with a fundraising pack which is stuff full of ideas and things to think about when you’re organising a fundraising event.

Our fundraising manager is also always on hand with a wealth of experience to talk through with you any questions you might have about fundraising.

Skydiving

Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - falling forward into the clouds, diving down through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph! Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens, the steering toggles come down either side of you and you begin a tranquil parachute descent from a mile up in the air, steering yourself back down to the centre of the zone below. Imagine being able to do this for FREE whilst harnessed to a professional freefall parachute instructor and at the same time being able to help a worthwhile charity! Stop imagining, it’s real and it’s happening all the time and you can be part of it...
